Rear End Trim Finish Panel Package Installation (Illuminated) Installation Instructions Part Number 23209738 Kit Contents Qty Description 1 Illuminated Rear End Trim Finish Panel 1 Installation Instructions Procedure Open the rear compartment lid. Lift up and remove the rear compartment floor panel trim (1) from the rear compartment. Using a small flat-bladed tool, open the cargo tie down loop bolt cap to gain access to fastener. Remove the cargo tie down loop fasteners (1). Remove the cargo tie down loops (2) from rear end trim finish panel. Grasp and gently pull up on the rear end trim finish panel (1) in order to release the integral retaining clips. Remove the tree clip (1) from the passenger side rear compartment trim. Reposition the passenger side rear compartment trim (3) and disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the compartment lamp (2). Position the Illuminated rear end trim finish panel (1) to the rear compartment. Connect the previously removed male electrical connector (2) from the rear compartment lamp and connect to the Illuminated rear end trim finish panel female connector (3). Connect the Illuminated rear end trim finish panel male connector (4) to the rear compartment lamp (5). Reposition the passenger side rear compartment trim (2) and install the tree clip (1). Install the Illuminated rear end trim finish panel (3) by first insuring the two-way locators on both sides of the part are inserted into the slots in the side rear compartment trim (2), before engaging the integral retaining clips and repositioning the weather strip above the trim panel rearward edge. Reinstall the cargo tie down loops and fasteners. Tighten the cargo tie down loop fasteners to 20 Nm (15 lb ft). Reinstall the rear compartment floor panel trim.
